Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Ask Earl LLC ("we", "us"), which runs Hersider. Ask Earl LLC is the company behind Hersider (a doing-business-as registration for the Hersider name is pending). By using hersider.com or chatting with our characters, you agree to these terms.

What Hersider is

Hersider offers AI characters, such as Val, Simone and Jules, who coach you on dating, attraction, and relationships. Every character is an AI. None is a real person, and no human is writing their messages. Their names, looks, and life stories are fictional. They are coaches and friends, not romantic partners.

Not therapy

Hersider offers general coaching and conversation written by AI. Our characters are not therapists, counselors, doctors, or any licensed professional, and nothing they say is a diagnosis or treatment. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice. For health questions, talk to a doctor.

Not for emergencies

If you or anyone else is in danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line). For domestic violence support, call 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788. For sexual assault support, call RAINN at 1-800-656-4673. How we handle these moments is explained at hersider.com/safety.

Age

You must be 18 or older to use Hersider. AI companions may not be suitable for some minors. We may end a chat, or suspend or close an account, if we believe the user is under 18.

Content rules

Hersider doesn't offer sexually explicit content. Don't use it to try to get explicit content, to plan harm, to harass, stalk, deceive, or pressure anyone, to impersonate someone, or to share anyone else's intimate images or anyone's personal information without a good reason. Leave out other people's last names and contact details when you describe them. Don't try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service.

Reporting a message

If a character says something harmful, wrong, or out of line, tell us at hello@hersider.com with roughly what was said and when. We review reports and respond within 72 hours.

AI can be wrong

Replies are written by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or a poor fit for your situation. Advice about other people is a guess. Use your judgment, and respect other people's choices. You are responsible for what you say and do.

No guaranteed results

We don't promise dates, relationships, or any other outcome.

Membership and billing

Hersider is free to try. After the free messages, you can keep chatting as a member for $12.99 a month or $29.99 every 3 months, plus any tax. The price, billing period and renewal terms are shown next to the buy button before you pay.

Your membership renews automatically at the same price at the end of each period, and your payment method is charged, until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time from the "Manage or cancel membership" link at the bottom of every page, or from the link in your receipt email. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Not happy? Email hello@hersider.com within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund. Otherwise we don't give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it.

If we ever change the price, we'll email you at least 7 and no more than 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then. Payments are processed by Stripe and appear on your statement as HERSIDER. Members get fair-use limits that are generous for normal personal use. During a safety or crisis moment, chat is never limited or paywalled.

Changes to characters

We may update, retire, or change characters. If we retire a character or change her substantially, we'll give at least 30 days' notice where we can.

Your content

What you write stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it to run Hersider for you, including character memory, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't use your conversations to train AI models, and our AI provider doesn't either.

Our content

Our characters, their images, voices, and names belong to Ask Earl LLC. Don't copy them or use them to make anyone think they're real people.

Changes and ending

We may change Hersider and these terms. If a change is significant, we'll post it here with a new date and, where we can, tell you before it applies. You can stop using Hersider at any time.

Liability

Hersider is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, Ask Earl LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages from your use of Hersider, including outcomes in your dating life or relationships.

Governing law

Tennessee law applies, except where your state's consumer protection law gives you rights that can't be waived.
